BYTE-ing into Action: BYTE Training Program Launches in Inabanga, Bohol

CVISNET Foundation Inc., in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Bohol, and Participatory Research, Organization of Communities and Education towards Struggle for Self- Reliance (PROCESS) – Bohol Inc., successfully launched the Bridging Youth Through Technology Empowerment (BYTE) project in Inabanga, Bohol.

The BYTE training program took place from June 9 to 13, 2025. On the first day of training, the CVISNET team, led by Executive Director Mr. Jeffrey Llanto, delivered a comprehensive session for instructors at Inabanga College of Arts and Sciences (INB CAS) and interns from the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program at Bohol Island State University – Clarin Campus. The program covered the following key topics such as Introduction to the BYTE project and its objectives, Installation and basic networking of fundamental operating systems, and Hands-on training and interactive discussions.

The program is designed to provide professionals and the youth with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the digital age. The aim is to foster digital literacy and innovation and to further contribute to the development of the community.

The successful launch of the 12-month BYTE project is a testament to the collaborative efforts of DOST Bohol, CVISNET, and PROCESS Bohol. We look forward to continuing our partnerships and initiatives to promote technology empowerment and digital literacy in the community.
