BYTE Program 1st Semester Wrap-Up: Building Strong Tech Foundations
The first semester of the BYTE (Building Youth Through Technology Education) program at Inabanga
College of Arts and Sciences (INB CAS) has concluded successfully! Prior to the midterm exams, trainees
gained hands-on experience with real-world computer networking, covering on-premise network
infrastructure and structured cabling practices. They learned about devices like routers, switches, and
patch panels, and performed a practical activity setting up a basic network.
The midterm examination included both written and hands-on exams on Linux commands, file system
structure, and system unit components. The final weeks focused on advanced Linux skills, web
development using WordPress, and evaluating trainee competencies. The first semester was concluded
with a WordPress project and a comprehensive final examination. Overall, performance was excellent,
with all trainees demonstrating strong technical proficiency and achieving perfect scores in the final
assessment.
