Quezon City – CVISNET Foundation, Inc., a pioneer in community ICT solutions, served as a key resource speaker at the Asia Community-Centered Connectivity Bootcamp 2026 held at the Microtel UP Technohub from August 6 to 10, 2026.

Kenneth C. Santiañez, IT Head of CVISNET Foundation, spoke on sessions focusing on core network infrastructure and resilient communications during crisis situations:

Network Fundamentals: A comprehensive session breaking down network architecture, protocol layers, and standard configuration practices for modern IT setups.

Disaster and Emergency Communication Networks: A practical look at deploying rapid-response networks, off-grid communication setups, and establishing reliable data links when primary infrastructure fails during disasters.

Santiañez in his presentations gave emphasis to ongoing Projects of CVISNET Foundation such as ISLET-Connect, Barangay e-System & Tools, and the Locally Accessible Cloud System.

The 5-day bootcamp (August 6–10, 2026) marks the first Community-Centered Connectivity (CCC) Bootcamp in the Asia-Pacific region. Co-organized by international and regional allies—including the Internet Society (ISOC), Association for Progressive Communications (APC), Rhizomatica, The Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia (ISEA),and the Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement (PRRM)—the event convenes 40 practitioners, social enterprises, and small operators, including 25 from the Philippines and 15 from across Asia.
